Bio:
I was born in the beautiful Scandinavian kingdom of Denmark in 1977. I grew up in a Christian home and I have known about God my whole life. In 1999 I did a six months Bible school, and in many ways it was during this time that I finally felt ready to accept that I was a Christian which I may have been my whole life – I don’t know, only God does. I never wanted to be a missionary as I was growing up, I always disliked the long, boring presentations that the missionaries who came to our church did. But God had different plans with me, and during a large European missions conference in Holland at the end of 2001 he called med into a life in missions, and I said yes to his calling! This lead me to doing a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in England in the fall of 2003. There I met God in many wonderful ways, received a more specific calling from him for discipleship training, leadership and teaching and I also met my beautiful wife, Jeannette, during this time. Jeannette is from Ohio, USA, and we got married in August 2005. After finishing our DTS we worked in England for a year and a half before moving to Kiev, Ukraine to work as discipleship training school leaders for two and a half years there. During our time in Kiev an acquaintance of ours came to Kiev and she talked a lot about identity in Christ with us. I thought that would be good for my wife to hear something more about.....little did I know that God made sure we would have the finances for both of us to attend a four week encounter centered around the Exchanged Life truths. During these four weeks God ministered to me in many ways. He showed me how much I had been living and ministering to other people out of my own flesh and my own resources instead of relying on him. He started showing me who I am in him, and for the first time I started taking steps towards accepting myself for being who I am. In the summer of 2008 God showed us that our time in Ukraine had come to an end, and we headed here to Marietta, where Jeannette is finishing up her studies at Kennesaw State University, while I work with GMI and with our local church, Marietta Vineyard. I love to counsel, teach and disciple other believers and help them see the lies they so often live by and point them in the direction of him who is all Truth, Jesus Christ. I did a nine week intensive training program with GMI in the fall of 2008, and even though I learned much there, I am still very much in a place of learning more and more about the life changing truths of who I am in Christ and how life looks like when I allow him to live his life through me, instead of me trying to live for him!
