Bio:
In 1969 I convinced myself that I had a passing grade with God. I did this by blocking out or making excuses to myself as I compared myself with all the bad people I came in contact with. But God changed that through some Christians He sent to me who talked about being reconciled with God through believing what Jesus said He came to do for me, and then having a personal spiritual relationship with Him. After pleading with God to do this for me, my life began to change as I put myself on a track to know Him through studing what God had said in the scriptures and through "Christian" activity.
It wasn't until 1980, living deep in the Amazon jungle, that I read Hudson Taylor's Spiritual Secret. I had realized how totally helpless and inadequate I was, and saw God doing miraculous things in spite of, rather than because of my actions. I began to understand how, by acknowledging my inadequacy and resting in God's adequacy in my Spirit. I could receive His productivity in and through my daily life. God began to change my heart toward Him, toward myself and toward my circumstances.
God He created in me a passion for Him as I saw His life in, through and around me changing my perception of reality and freeing me from the 'tyranny of the urgent' in my life.
When we returned to Atlanta, I became connected with GMI where I now get the opportunity to express my passion and see others' lives transformed.
