An Invitation To The Grace Life
Grace Ministries exists to help individuals in their discovery of God’s good intention for their lives, here and now.
Why is it that so many are disillusioned, worn out and without spiritual vitality – without life? The promise of significance and identity through people, things and circumstances has not delivered the desired sense of happiness and well being – at least not for long. You find yourself needing another “fix” - a more impressive performance, a new car, new career or a new spouse.
Whether you are experiencing personal or relational difficulties, overwhelming life challenges and decisions, depression, fear or anxiety, unfulfilled expectations or simply seeking to connect with God at a deeper level, we’re here for you.

What type of counseling will I receive?
Grace Ministries International employs a method of discipleship/counseling utilizing spiritual, Biblical principles. In this kind of counseling, the Holy Spirit, not the counselor, is the therapist, and God becomes the agent of change, provided the counselee cooperates with Him. Our goal is to convey a way of freedom from mental and emotional symptoms, family and marital conflict, as well as other difficulties, utilizing exchanged life principles. Grace Ministries International does not practice psychotherapy nor are our counselors licensed psychotherapists.
What days and times is counseling available?
Discipleship/counseling appointments are scheduled primarily during daytime hours. Our office hours are Monday – Thursday 9 am to 5 pm. Fridays, we are open 9 am to 3 pm. For those who cannot make daytime appointments we offer one evening a week, Tuesday, when counseling is available from 6 pm until 9 pm. Assessments are available during these hours as well.
What are the qualifications of the staff?
Because of our unique approach Grace Ministries International trains its own staff. Since we do Biblically based, Christ-centered discipleship/counseling we do not necessarily look to secular standards as qualifying people for staff positions at GMI. Some of our counseling staff have professional, advanced degrees and some do not. Please feel free to ask about your discipler’s background and experience.
Emergency/Crisis Care
Grace Ministries International is not equipped for emergency crisis care. The traditional recommendations for suicidal clients involve psychiatric/psychological care and/or inpatient help. We are a discipleship/counseling ministry. Although we can sometimes help people in this area by sharing spiritual truths, our discipleship can take time that people needing emergency care cannot afford.
Who can pursue discipleship/counseling?
Any adult who wishes to pursue greater freedom, joy, rest, and peace in their life may call Grace Ministries International to begin.
How long does the discipleship/counseling process take?
Counseling sessions are generally 50 minutes in length and weekly appointments are ideal, especially in the beginning of the process. Longer sessions are possible if necessary. Depending on the nature of the problem, an individual can expect to spend three to six months in the discipleship/counseling process, longer if necessary.
Will the discipleship/counseling process be painful?
The counseling process may be emotionally, mentally, and spiritually challenging. We commit to walk with you as God touches your life and to encourage you to receive from Him what He wants you to know about yourself and about Himself.
What is the cost of discipleship/counseling?
Grace Ministries International asks our clients to pay $80 a session, with a sliding scale available for those who need it and hardship accommodations possible as well. No proof of income is required, and payment is determined simply by the client’s word. There is no cost for the initial assessment; however, there is a one time administrative fee of $50 payable at the first discipleship/counseling session. For more information please see Grace Ministries International Financial Policy.
